Restoration of an Urban Stream to Create a Holistic Stream, Wetland, and Shoreline Complex
Recipient: The Resilience Authority of Annapolis and Anne Arundel County
Grant Amount: $1,340,442 Matching Funds: $701,800
This award will construct 580 linear feet of nature-based step pool stream restoration, 367 linear feet of nature-based step pool stormwater management, and install native plants with post-construction monitoring. The project will restore 1.3 acres of wetlands, open 0.2 miles of fish passage, restore 0.9 acres of floodplain, create 37,144 gallons of new stormwater storage, and reestablish a native plant community.
